HIGHLIGHTS OF 2010
- 2010 Financial Information:
- Balance at the start of the year $ 412.38
- Moneys collected $13,722.00
- Moneys expended/donated $11,580.87
- Balance at the end of the year $ 2,553.51
- Thanks to the chairpersons, Mike Pandoli, Tim White & Kris Czinger, and all the volunteers, 3 successful fund raisers were held in 2010:
- Mike - Two 7-card stud tournament raised close to $3,000
- Tim and Kris - The Annual Reverse Raffle raised over $8,300
- A special “thanks” to Bob Maines for donating the ticket printing for the events. (If anyone has any printing needs, give Bob a call.)
- Thanks to the chairperson, Al Psota, and all the volunteers, The Easter Egg Hunt was a big success. The turnout of children exceeded our expectations.
- GOLF:
- All who participated in the annual West Virginia (now held in Pennsylvania) golf trip organized by Al Smith had a great time.
- The WTC Golf league had a successful year ending with its End-of-Year outing at Legacy Golf Course.
- The Eagle Creek Holiday Outings organized by Larry Lahiff were a big hit.
- Once again, the yearly Clambake sponsored by the Czingers was a huge success.
- The 2010 Mr. & Mrs. Westlake reception honoring Bill and Peg Gambrel was one of the highlights of the year.
- Harry Applegate was honored as our “2010 Man of the Year”.
- The announcement of the 2011 Mr. & Mrs. Westlake took place at Crocker Park with John Meno representing the Town Criers on stage. The recipients were Mr. and Mrs. Russ Milan.
- The Websters hosted the Town Crier Holiday party. In the process of having a great time, the attendees collectively donated several bags of much needed clothing and toiletries to the needy.
- The annual Christmas Luncheon was held at Dover Gardens. The food was good, the drinks were better, and most of all the company was the best.
- The new Officers for 2011 are:
- President: John Meno 1st Vice President: Bob Duale
- 2nd Vice & Secretary: Mike Thomas Treasurer: Tom Hirz
- A special “Thank You” to our out going president, Chuck Webster.
MEMBER’S CORNER
- The budget for 2011 was passed at during the January 3rd meeting.
- Membership Dues are due by end of January. Please provide your $40 to Tom Hirz at the next meeting.
