· Highlights from the 2008 WTC FISHING TRIP (A special thanks to Henry Epp who provided the hospitality) as seen through the eyes of STAR REPORTER – Joe Beleski:

o It all began on Friday afternoon, with the traditional "beer fest on-the-bay".

o High winds and wave action postponed the Jet ski action till Saturday, so the guys entertained themselves with the Annual Long drive Contest into the bay, Corn-Hole play for cash, sharpshooting skills with Henry's pump-action BB gun, and joke telling (most of which are told every year but everyone seems to forget they heard them).

o Then the evening action turned to the famous "Terry's Tavern On-the Bay", where the guys set up camp on the outdoor patio tables and raised hell with the waitresses (one of whom remembered the night Jack Haviland threw up all over the table a few years ago after eating Lake Erie perch with a glass of milk). If you ask me, this should become a TC annual event.

o Speaking of annual events, the First Annual Town Crier Corn-Hole Tourney kicked off its inaugural action. Each entrant paid $5 to play in this "double-elimination" singles tournament. Webster, Wang, & Beleski provided the playing boards.....and after about 2-1/2 hours of action, Tom Hirz wiped out Joe Beleski (runner-up) and everyone else to win the trophy. It was agreed by all who played that the real goal was to win the coveted cherry and glass encased trophy and that the money was secondary.

o After the Corn-Holing was consummated, the cookout was held featuring sausage, hamburgers, corn & condiments.

o The action then turned to the Fin-and-Feathers, a local hangout which has traditionally been a DON'T MISS for real action during the Fishing Trip Weekend. The action began at the bar naturally, and then flowed over to the Pool Table and the Horseshoe pits.

o From there, it was back to the Hot Sheets Hotel for another bonfire, poker, and the daily sleep/snore competition where everyone tries to beat Jim Hamilton to sleep.

o Can't wait till next year!!!!!
